With our new software release, TRAX is launching an exciting pair of automated ProTRAX functions that will delight users familiar with the model building software. Designed to improve the speed, accuracy, and consistency of model construction, we're eager to share our latest software developments with you.
Automatic Flowstream Tool
This ProTRAX enhancement makes quick work of model building, using automatic snapping and alignment functions to improve schematic layouts. By selecting the automatic flowstream tool, users are given the ability to see and select the available module connections. Then, with a single click, the modules can be connected and aligned with other modules on the page. The tool even rotates through the available connection styles to show various stylistic options.
This automated process eliminates the need for manual adjustments or tedious positioning tasks, saving valuable time and effort. Furthermore, this enhancement goes beyond simple connection establishment by offering a quick way to build a well-organized model that is visually coherent and easy to understand. Overall, this ProTRAX enhancement significantly simplifies the model building process by leveraging automatic snapping, alignment functions, and an intuitive interface. It empowers users to create complex schematic layouts efficiently while ensuring clarity and organization in their models. Obviously, we couldn't be more pleased!
Automatic Variable Stream Tool
With the help of this related tool, users can now experience the convenience and efficiency of snapping and organizing control models. Like the flowstream tool, this simplifies the process of building well-structured and visually appealing models by providing a range of useful functions. Available port connections can be connected and can snap into alignment for good, clear, readable models.
Looking ahead, TRAX has several software releases planned and ongoing:
Improved trending. Shown below, TRAX has recently added full-feature trending for any simulator variable in the Workbench and Remote Manager. Easily drag-and-drop any variable to the window to plot that trend.
Mini-trends in the Watch window. This planned Workbench improvement will let users view simple trends in the Watch window rather than swapping to another view.
Historian window improvements. This Workbench feature will capture historical runtime data and save the data with Initial Conditions (IC). As a result, the historical data and trends will be restored when ICs are loaded.
Malfunction enhancements. Already in place, this important training element allows training instructors to fail any piece of equipment -- even during remote training sessions at different locations. The malfunctions will have the same suite of characteristics as in the base ProTRAX software, including an unlimited number of malfunctions.
